Terrorists attack Kebbi village, kill one, injure six

Suspected Lakurawa terrorists attacked Gulma village in the Argungu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, killing one person and injuring six others.
The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on Thursday while residents were asleep.
Aliyu Sani Gulma, Chairman of Argungu Local Government, confirmed the attack in a telephone interview with Radio Nigeria on Friday morning.
He stated that the terrorists shot seven people during the raid. One victim died, while six others sustained serious injuries.
Four of the injured were admitted to the Federal Medical Centre in Birnin Kebbi, and the remaining two are receiving treatment at home.
Gulma said he reported the incident to security authorities, who promptly deployed troops to the area to protect residents and property.
SP Nafi’u Abubakar, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Kebbi State Police Command, also confirmed the attack.
He added that mobile police units have been dispatched to the village to enhance security and prevent further incidents.
