Platoon 8 Wins NYSC Inter-Platoon Drill Competition

Platoon 8 of the NYSC Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja has emerged victorious in the 2024 Batch “C” Stream II Inter-Platoon Drill Competition.

The competition tested the parade skills of all ten platoons after weeks of intense trainings and rehearsals. Each group displayed precision and unity, impressing both officials and spectators.

Military instructors, who trained the corps members, also took center stage with an entertaining display of parade skills, adding excitement to the event.

At the end of the contest, Platoon 8 secured first place, followed by Platoon 7 in second and Platoon 9 in third. Platoon 1 finished last and received the symbolic wooden spatula in recognition of taking the last position.

Special awards were also presented as Omolabake Esther of Platoon 8 was named Best Female Parade Commander, while David Bonaventure of Platoon 9 won Best Male Parade Commander.
