Nigeria Drawn in Group C of 2025 AFCON Alongside Tunisia, Tanzania, and Uganda

Nigeria’s Super Eagles will compete in Group C of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) alongside Tunisia, Tanzania, and Uganda.

The draw for Africa’s biggest football tournament which was held on  Monday night in Morocco will see Nigeria, runners-up in 2023, hoping to secure the title this time after losing to Ivory Coast in the final last February.

The competition will begin on December 21, 2025, and end on 18th of January, 2026, with the opening match featuring hosts Morocco against Comoros.

The 24 qualified teams were divided into six groups, with the top two teams in each group and four best third-placed teams advancing to the knockout stage.

Uganda and Tanzania, co-hosts of the 2027 AFCON, find themselves facing off early in this year’s tournament.

In Group F, defending champions Ivory Coast will compete against Cameroon, Gabon, and Mozambique.The full group draw also placed Senegal, Algeria, and Egypt as group leaders in Groups D, E, and B, respectively.
