Éric Chelle Unveiled as New Super Eagles Coach

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has unveiled Éric Chelle, as the new head coach of the Super Eagles on today, 13th of January, 2025, in Abuja.

Chelle officially signed his contract, and was saddled with the responsibility of Nigeria securing a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. His immediate focus will be on guiding the Homebased Eagles to the CHAN tournament later this month.

Having led Mali to the quarterfinals of the 2023 African Cup of Nations, he will be working alongside the three assistants who supported him in that success.

Speaking at the event, NFF officials expressed confidence in Chelle’s ability to rejuvenate the Super Eagles. Chelle also pledged to give his best for Nigeria.

With high expectations from football fans across the nation, Éric Chelle’s appointment marks a new chapter for the Super Eagles as they aim for continental and global glory.
