Raphinha Named La Liga Player Of The Season After Inspiring Barcelona’s Treble Triumph

Raphinha has been named La Liga’s Player of the Season for 2024/25, following a stunning campaign that saw him lead FC Barcelona to a historic domestic treble.
The Brazilian forward was at the heart of Barcelona’s success, delivering consistent match-winning performances under manager Hansi Flick. He racked up 18 goals and 11 assists in La Liga, and finished the season with 34 goals and 25 assists across all competitions—a career-best return that proved vital in securing the league title, Copa del Rey, and Spanish Super Cup.
Despite topping both the goals and assists charts in the UEFA Champions League, Raphinha was controversially overlooked for the tournament’s best player award. Still, his brilliance throughout the season did not go unnoticed in Spain, where his influence in big moments was impossible to ignore.
Raphinha’s rise is all the more impressive given that he was nearly sold last summer. Encouraged to stay by Flick, he went on to become the driving force of the team. With his contract now extended until 2028, Barcelona have made it clear he’s central to their long-term vision.
Alongside breakout star Lamine Yamal, Raphinha is now one of the key figures in a new era at Camp Nou—one built on quality, leadership, and ambition. His Player of the Season award is not just a personal accolade; it’s the recognition of a player who stepped up when it mattered most and helped restore Barcelona’s dominance in Spanish football.
