The State Coordinator NYSC Lagos, Mrs Yetunde Baderinwa, has charged members of NYSC Lagos Staff that the scheme in Lagos cannot afford to lower its standards given the high pedestal it treads.

Baderinwa gave the charger at the General Staff meeting at the State Secretariat, Surulere on Monday.

While appreciating the members of staff for their commitment, and the high level of hard work they put into their duty posts, as well as their sacrifices, she said the efforts, though tiring, must be sustained because no one remembers excellent performances but almost everyone will hold on to any slight of failure perceived in the course of duty.

She urged them to not relent despite the exhaustion the job brings.

Speaking on the 2024 Batch “A” Stream II Orientation Course, she urged them to take their attitude of hard work into the Camp to achieve success at the end of the 3-week programme.

She urged members of staff to shun all forms of animosity and to pursue peace with everyone which is priceless and does not have any negative effect on one’s health.

The State coordinator announced the Camp Director and the Deputy Camp Director for the 2024 Batch “A” Stream II Course, Princess Maria Ajiboye and Mrs Chioma Odihekhandu.

Earlier, before the commencement of the meeting, the Knowledge Sharing Session of the Secretariat held, where two members of staff enlightened the gathering on two topical issues.

Mrs Seun Osinoiki spoke on “Enhancing Team Building In A Workspace,” while Mrs Layefa Akhidenor spoke on “Embracing The Right Attitude; Key To Success At The Workplace.”

Meanwhile,  a significant number of staff were at their duty post, where they are attending to corps members for their monthly biometrics exercise.
