Late Speaker, Ghali Umar Na’abba laid to rest in Kano

The remains of the former Speaker, House of Representatives, Ghali Umar Na’abba, has been laid to rest in Kano State.
Ghali Umar Na’abba who passed away in Abuja earlier on Wednesday was brought to Kano for burial rites at the Emir of Kano’s Palace.”
The Vice President Kashim Shettima was in attendance at the prayer session of the funeral, which was led by Kano state Chief Imam, Prof Sani Zahraddeen.
Others who attended the prayer include, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, Head of Security agencies in Kano, captains of various government agencies among others.
Late Na’Abba, a notable figure in Nigerian politics, served as the Speaker of the House from 1999 to 2003.
The late speaker left behind his one Wife and ten children. His remains has since been buried according to Islamic rights.
