Trump Reiterates Wish to Move Gazans to Egypt, Jordan

U.S. President Donald Trump has called for a “real end” to the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran, rejecting the idea of a temporary ceasefire as missile exchanges continued into a fifth consecutive day on Tuesday.

Israeli warplanes launched fresh airstrikes overnight, targeting multiple missile launchers in western Iran and reportedly killing senior Iranian military commander Ali Shadmani in a direct hit on a command center in central Tehran. Shadmani’s death comes just days after his predecessor, Gholam Ali Rashid, was killed in a surprise Israeli air raid.

Iran retaliated with a wave of missile attacks, triggering sirens across Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and other parts of Israel. Explosions were reported over both cities, with debris falling in central Tel Aviv. Firefighters responded to several blazes sparked by falling missile fragments.

Israeli forces confirmed further strikes later on Tuesday, releasing aerial footage of targeted missile and drone facilities exploding in western Iran.

Despite international calls for de-escalation, neither side has backed down since Israel launched an unprecedented aerial assault on Iranian nuclear and military sites last Friday.

The latest round of Israeli strikes included a dramatic hit on Iran’s state television headquarters in Tehran, reportedly killing three staff members. In response, both countries activated their missile defense systems overnight to counter incoming attacks.

Iranian media also reported explosions in Isfahan, a city that hosts one of the country’s most critical nuclear sites.

Residential neighborhoods in both nations have been affected, while several foreign governments are scrambling to evacuate their citizens amid rising fears of a broader regional conflict.

In a further escalation, a cyberattack on Tuesday disabled Sepah Bank, one of Iran’s largest state-owned financial institutions, according to the Fars news agency.
