President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made key appointments to various federal boards, including naming the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, as Chairman of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

Additionally, the APC National Secretary, Senator Bashiru Ajibola, has been appointed Chairman of the National Sugar Development Council (NSDC).

The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, announced these appointments in a statement on Friday.

According to the statement, President Tinubu approved the appointment of board chairpersons for 42 federal organizations, as well as a secretary to the board of the Civil Defence, Immigration, and Prisons Services.

Notable appointments include former Deputy Governor of Kebbi State, Sulaiman Argungu, as Chairman of the Nigeria Bulk Electricity Trading Company, and former Senator Magnus Abe, a long-time ally of the President, as Chairman of the National Agency for the Great Green Wall.

Furthermore, the President appointed a new Managing Director for the Nigerian Railway Corporation and a Director-General for the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI).

The President directed all board chairpersons to refrain from interfering in the daily operations of their respective organizations, emphasizing that these roles are non-executive.
