Tinubu Appoints Federal Commissioners for FCC, NPC, RMAFC

Tinubu has approved the appointment of Hon. Kayode Oladele as the Federal Commissioner of the Federal Character Commission (FCC).

The President has also approved the appointment of Mrs. Olukemi Victoria Iyantan as the Commissioner of the National Population Commission (NPC) and 21 other Federal Commissioners in the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation, and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, conveyed this in a statement on Monday by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Segun Imohiosen, in Abuja.

The details of the Federal Commissioners from the RMAFC are as follows: Mrs. Linda Nkechi Oti, representing Abia (fresh appointment); Mr. Akpan Imo Effiong, representing Akwa Ibom (fresh appointment); and Mr. Enefe Ekene, representing Anambra (fresh appointment).

Others include Prof. Steve Ugbah, Commissioner representing Benue (fresh appointment); Chief Eyo Nsa Whiley, representing Cross River (renewal of appointment); and Aruviere Egharhevwe, representing Delta (fresh appointment).

Also newly appointed are Nduka Henry Awuregu, representing Ebonyi; Mr. Victor Eboigbe, representing Edo (renewal); Hon. Wumi Ogunlola, representing Ekiti; Hon. Ozo Obumreme Obodougo, representing Enugu; Mr. Mohammed Kabeer Usman, representing Gombe; Alh. Kabir Mohammed Mashi, representing Katsina (renewal); and Hon. Adamu Fanda, representing Kano.

The appointment of Prof. Olusegun Adekunle Wright, Commissioner representing Lagos, was also renewed, along with Aliyu Almakura Abdulkadir, representing Nasarawa; Bako Shetima, representing Niger; and Mr. Amosun Akeem Akintayo, representing Ogun (fresh appointment).

Others include Dr. Nathaniel Adojutelegan, representing Ondo (fresh appointment); Hon. Saad Bello Ibrahim, representing Plateau (fresh appointment); Mr. Modu Aji Juluri, representing Yobe (renewal); and H.E. Bello Rabiu Garba, FCNA, representing Zamfara (fresh appointment).

According to the statement, their appointments take effect from February 3, 2025, for an initial period of five years, in accordance with the extant provisions of the Certain Political, Public, and Judicial Office Holders Act.

“The President urges the Federal Commissioners to give maximum support to their various heads to achieve the vision and mission of their respective agencies in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda,” the statement added.
