Sanwo-Olu Urges NIPOST Boss to Revamp Operations, Boost Productivity

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has urged NIPOST Postmaster-General, Tola Odeyemi, to rethink operational strategies, embrace technology, and foster partnerships to improve service delivery.

This was made known during her courtesy visit to Lagos House, Marina, on Wednesday.

Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized the need for NIPOST to scrap outdated practices and adopt innovations that align with modern needs. He assured Ms. Odeyemi of Lagos State’s readiness to collaborate in enhancing physical spaces and e-commerce services.

“Think outside the box and revamp NIPOST. Don’t shy away from changing old practices. To meet today’s and future needs, change is inevitable,” Sanwo-Olu said. He pledged Lagos State’s support in enabling seamless logistics and efficient movement of goods.

Ms. Odeyemi, in her remarks, commended the Governor’s achievements in governance and infrastructure, particularly initiatives that drew global attention during December’s festivities, branding Lagos as a beacon of progress.

She mentioned NIPOST’s vision of fostering partnerships to enhance postal services, strengthen e-commerce, and drive economic development. Lagos, being Nigeria’s economic hub, is seen as a pivotal partner in achieving these goals.
