Police Arrests Two Suspects, Recovered Ammunition and Toyota Corolla In Anambra

The operatives of the special anti squad enugwu ukwu of the Nigeria police force, Anambra state command has arrested two out of four occupants of a white toyota corolla vehicle numbered YAB26CB.
The team also recovered one Barrera pistol, two live ammunition with the toyota corolla vehicle at a security checkpoint on Umufioka-Awkuzu area of the state.
This was disclosed by the state police force relation officer, SP Tochkwu Ikenga through the Anambra state police command on the 27th, January 2025. The arrest which takes place at Umudioka-Awkuzu road on 25th January, 2025 reported that the suspects alighted from the vehicle while still in motion when the Operatives ordered them to park the vehicle for a Security search.
The two suspects are Raphael Peverga and Saakura Teryima both aged 22 years old and from Benue State. Meanwhile, efforts are ongoing to arrest the other two suspects that are currently on the run.
The state commissioner of Police CP Nnaghe Obono Itam assures that the Command shall continue to evolve strategy and improve operational positioning in the State to nip to the bud such criminal elements.
