Peter Okoye Accuses Brothers Jude and Paul of Betrayal in Ongoing Legal Feud

Peter Okoye of the defunct P-Square duo has publicly called out his brothers, Paul and Jude Okoye, accusing them of betrayal and attempting to tarnish his image amid their ongoing legal dispute.

The rift, which centers around a royalty-related case, intensified after the brothers’ lawyer reportedly accused Peter of lying in a statement submitted to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). In response, Peter took to Instagram to vent his frustration, claiming their publicist is leading a deliberate smear campaign against him.

“I am not MayD or Cynthia Morgan; I am PETER OKOYE, the one and only THE ROCK/OKWUTE of the Okoyes. The truth shall surely prevail,” he wrote, adding hashtags like #UnaThiefAbiUnaNoThief and #FamilyDoesNotStealFromFamily to underscore his anger.

Peter expressed that he would no longer stay silent or play the “bigger person” like other artists who’ve been mistreated in the past. Referring to the late singer Mohbad, Peter said the tragedy inspired him to speak up and defend himself.

“After watching everything about Mohbad’s death and how the whole thing played out to date, I decided I would never play the bigger person nor act as the mature one,” he wrote. “So love me or hate me, I will continue speaking my truth!”

He also alleged that he was manipulated during the much-publicized P-Square reunion in November 2021, stating he now feels used and betrayed. Although he held back on the full details, Peter hinted that he will eventually expose what really happened, saying, “Since we are in court, I will wait for the right time to tell what really went down.”

The public fallout continues to draw attention, with Peter standing firm in his stance: “Family does not steal from family.”
