NYSC Plateau Alumni Reunite, Celebrate Enduring Bonds
The festive season brought a joyful reunion for the NYSC Plateau Alumni (1987/1988) who gathered at BWC Hotel, Victoria Island, to reconnect, reminisce and celebrate the enduring bonds they formed over three decades ago.
The event was filled with laughter, heartfelt stories, and a spirit of unity that underscored their shared history.
In a goodwill message delivered by the NYSC Lagos State Coordinator, Mrs. Christiana Salmwang, on behalf of the NYSC Director General, Brigadier General YD Ahmed, the alumni were commended for their unwavering camaraderie and positive interactions.
Mrs. Salmwang highlighted the importance of their unity, urging them to continue nurturing their relationships and using them as a force for good.
The evening featured interactive sessions, cultural performances, and awards that brought the group’s cherished memories to life.
A particularly touching moment came when two members shared their love story, recounting how they met during orientation camp and eventually tied the knot, exemplifying the deeper connections fostered through the NYSC program.
Mrs. Salmwang remarked that the reunion was not just about revisiting the past but also about celebrating the present and committing to a brighter future. The group reaffirmed their dedication to the ideals of the NYSC, pledging to channel their unity into giving back to the communities that hosted their service years.
