NYSC Lagos Coordinator Visits Customs Comptroller in Ikeja

The Lagos State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mrs. Christiana Salmwang, on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the Comptroller of the Federal Operations Unit, Zone A, of the Nigeria Customs Service, Mr. M.S. Shuaibu, at the command’s headquarters in Ikeja.

The visit was part of efforts to strengthen the long-standing collaboration between the NYSC and the Nigeria Customs Service.

During the meeting, Mrs. Salmwang commended the command for its continued support for corps members posted to the unit. She expressed gratitude for the hospitality, mentorship, and sense of duty demonstrated by the officers in the course of hosting the youth corps members.

In his response, Comptroller Shuaibu reaffirmed the command’s commitment to supporting NYSC programmes and initiatives. He noted that the visit underscored the importance of inter-agency cooperation in fostering national development and youth empowerment.

He further stated that the Nigeria Customs Service would continue to provide enabling environments for corps members to contribute meaningfully during their service year.

The NYSC has consistently sought to build strong partnerships with government agencies and institutions in a bid to equip corps members with relevant skills and exposure necessary for nation-building.
