NYSC DG Tasks Corps Members on Discipline, Community Service, and Safety

The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General YD Ahmed, has congratulated the Batch “C” Stream II corps members on the successful completion of their orientation course.
Addressing the corps members nationwide virtually, he urged them to apply the lessons learned during the three-week orientation program throughout their service year and beyond.
The Director General encouraged them to conduct themselves properly at their Places of Primary Assignment (PPA) and promptly report any challenges to their Local Government Inspectors for necessary intervention.
Brigadier General Ahmed charged them to make meaningful contributions to their host communities by identifying their felt needs and addressing them through the Community Development Service (CDS)
For their safety, he warned against traveling at night and advised them to always use Government approved parks and garages when boarding vehicles.
He also cautioned against engaging in social vices such as cultism, drug abuse, trafficking, and cybercrime, stressing that corps members must uphold law and order. Additionally, he advised them to use social media responsibly and refrain from spreading fake news, hate speech, or any content that could damage the reputation of the scheme.
