The NSCDC FCT Command arrested six suspects for vandalizing public infrastructure during year-end security operations.
FCT commandant Dr. Olusola Odumosu lauded his team’s vigilance in safeguarding critical assets.
He condemned vandalism’s impact and urged residents to support crime-fighting efforts by providing actionable information.
“It is unfortunate that these criminal elements are sabotaging public amenities provided for residents of the FCT. However, the NSCDC remains resolute in protecting critical infrastructure and bringing these offenders to justice,” Odumosu stated.
The NSCDC FCT Command warned vandals to desist or face prosecution as it remains committed to combating crime.
The noted that arrested suspects are under investigation and will be prosecuted accordingly.
Items recovered include cut streetlight poles, bulbs, security lights, tools, a National ID card, passport photographs, and ₦13,200.
The command appealed to residents to provide actionable information to support anti-vandalism efforts.
