Know Your Consumer Rights – FCCPC Tells Lagos Corps Members

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission,FCCPC, addressed the 2024 Batch “A” Stream II Corps Members at the NYSC Lagos Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja, urging them to be informed about their consumer rights.
Mrs. Rufai Blessing, a representative of the commission, FCCPC, delivered the message in Lagos.
She emphasized the importance of checking for NAFDAC registration and serial numbers on products before consumption, stressing that unregistered items have no place in Nigeria.
Mrs. Blessing outlined several rights afforded to consumers, including the right to choose, receive quality products/services, proper labeling, and the ability to return goods.
Encouraging the corps members to voice concerns about expired products, she assured them of the FCCPC’s readiness to take action upon receiving evidence along with a receipt, all at no cost to them.
