Joint Security Team in Anambra State Raids Criminal Den in Umudike Village, Amaokpala

A Joint Security Team raided a criminal hideout in Umudike Village, Amaokpala, Orumba North LGA area of Anambra state, on Saturday 25th of January, 2025, at 10:30 p.m., acting on intelligence reports.
The team, comprising police operatives from Oko Divisional Headquarters and AVG operatives, recovered substances suspected to be hard drugs, two mobile phones, and cash amounting to ₦73,150.
On sighting the Joint Security Team, the criminals fled into nearby bushes to evade arrest, abandoning their illicit items and leaving the hideout deserted.
According to a statement signed by SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Police Public Relations Officer, the security operatives took control of the scene, dismantled the camp, and launched further operations to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
Authorities have assured the public that efforts are ongoing to prevent the regrouping of the criminals anywhere in the state.
