Baderinwa Issues Stern Warning Against Hate Speech and Cyber-Bullying

The State Coordinator NYSC Lagos, Mrs Yetunde Baderinwa has told corps members to avoid hate speech and cyber-bullying, stating that the NYSC will not hesitate to punish erring corps member.
The state coordinator gave the charge during her briefing at the NYSC Lagos Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja Lagos.
She advised them to avoid posting indiscriminately on Social media, especially on issues bordering on the scheme, and matters which may impact the mental health of others. She also told the Prospective Corps Members not to speak to the Press without authorization from the NYSC.
Setting the ground rules for the Orientation Course, Mrs Baderinwa told the corps members to dress appropriately always and that any alteration to the prescribed mode of dressing of the NYSC is prohibited.
She warned them to maintain hygiene during the duration of the Orientation Course and avoid indiscriminate handling of refuse. She urged them to avoid wasting of water, calling on them to take responsibility by joining some available committees to help run the camp.
On corps member’s health, the State Coordinator warned them to take their health serious by visiting the camp clinic when it is needed. She advised them not to hide their ailments but to speak out so that they could be attended to by qualified personnel.
She warned against illicit use of drugs, stating that drug abuse is prohibited on camp and that corps members who engage in such would be apprehended.
On the services on camp, she said all services, from feeding to posting, are free. She warned against taking or giving bribes to influence officials.
In the same vein, she advised them to avoid altercations with officials, and law enforcement agencies but to be law-abiding as they do not have any immunity as corps members.
