ASUU-UDUS Calls For Scholarship Application From Indigent Students

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU-UDUS ) of the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) branch, has called for application to its annual indigent students scholarship for 2024/2025 academic session. 

The award aims to foster academic excellence and encourage outstanding indigent students.

According to the memorandum released signed by S. A Sadiku, the secretary of the association, the applicant must be an indigent and registered student of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto with obtained 3.0 CGPA and above.

Part of the criteria for the eligibility required the applicants to submit an application letter not more than two pages which includes the following details: Name of the Applicant, Course of Study, State of Origin and Reason why they qualify as indigent. 

Meanwhile, the application must be accompanied by: A photocopy of the current identity card, A letter from the applicant’s current head of Department that entails information on the applicant’s CGPA for the preceding academic session.

Also, a copy of the applicant’s registration form for the current semester and two current passports. 

“All applications must be submitted at the ASUU-UDUS Secretariat, main campus, UDUS, no later than Thursday, 17th 2025.” the memo concluded
