The General Manager of Legacy Fm Abakaliki, Mr. Godfrey Chikwere,  have on Thursday called out All Ebonyi State Development Center Coordinators over what he described as Reducing a very reputable office to a gathering of never-do wells.

The backlash came after the display by the coordinators at Amuro Mgbom in Afikpo during President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday flagged-off the construction of the 465 kilometres Calabar-Ebonyi-Benue-Nasarawa-Abuja super Highway.

“After watching what DC coordinators displayed in Afikpo yesterday on a program covered live by not less than two National TVs”

“All can say is that I have never seen political appointees of their cader that is this pedestrian”.

He added that “These men were all in T. Shirt with 4×4 inscriptions, shouting and behaving like distant members of SUG somewhere in Sudan”

“They wear bearing something like campaign placards in April 2025”

“Reducing a very reputable office to a gathering of never-do wells”

“These are men, and the majority of them have absolutely nothing to show as projects. In their DCs, people are still drinking from ponds( Okpuru).”

He noted that “The best way to please Nwifuru as an appointee is to deliver on your mandate”

“You are an appointee, not a charlatan” he blasted

“An office backed by law is not treated like a Nokia 3310”.

Chikwere suggested that the DC coordinators should be given a three-month break without salary to attend leadership training.

He cited past coordinators like Mrs. Franka Okpo, Chief Udenwe, and Laz Ogbee as examples of professionals who maintained decorum in their roles.

“Mrs. Franka Okpo, Chief Udenwe, Laz Ogbee, etc, were all coordinators. They didn’t urinate in public like this”

“These guys should be given a three-month break without salary to attend leadership training”
