SAED Concludes Camp Activities With Skill Set Competition In Lagos

The Interplatoon SAED skill set competition of the 2024 Batch “A” Stream II corps members have taken place at the Lagos Orientation Camp, lyana-Ipaja to draw the curtains on all SAED related activities on Camp. The event began with testimonials from corps members belonging to different SAED classes, showcasing the skills they learnt in camp.
The SAED monitoring officer, Mrs Bunmi Afolayan, said the corps members were exposed to what it means to be an entrepreneur. She urged them to utilize the opportunity given to them and continue with the SAED post camp training.
For the competition, the various platoons showcased their skills in cake making, shoe making, bag making, bead making, fashion and make up.
At the end, the results of the competition as announced by the Chief Judge were as follow; for cake making, Platoon 1 came first, platoon 5 was second and platoon 7 was third.
For the shoemaking, platoon 5 came 1st, platoon 1 was second and Platoon 3 in 3rd place.
For bag making, Platoon 6 emerged 1st place , followed by Platoon 2 in 2nd place and Platoon 4 in 3rd place.
For bead making, Platoon 3 obtained 1st place, Platoon 6 secured 2nd place and Platoon 9, 3rd place.
For fashion, Platoon 5 claimed the 1st place, platoon 10 was 2nd place and Platoon 6 came in at 3rd place.
Lastly for makeup, Platoon 6 obtained 1st place, Platoon 1 secured 2nd place , Platoon 8 came 3rd.
In her closing remarks, the Acting Head of SAED, Mrs Yewande Ojewale highlighted the success of the programme and advised the corps members to continue with the SAED training in their various local government areas after they leave the Orientation.
