Rita Edochie Fires Back at Nneoma Ukpabi, Accuses Actress of Financial Misconduct and Indecency

Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has escalated her feud with younger colleague Nneoma Ukpabi, vowing not to stay silent following threats from Nneoma to expose her secrets.

Rita doubled down on her condemnation of indecent dressing, using Nneoma’s revealing outfit at actress Ruby Ojiakor’s wedding as a case in point. But the clash has now taken a deeper turn, with Rita making serious allegations against Nneoma.

In a lengthy social media post, Rita claimed that during her tenure as chair of a probe panel for the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) in Imo State, Nneoma begged her to help cover up alleged financial misconduct involving millions of naira.

“You kept calling and pleading with me to help cover you up and save your arse… because you embezzled their millions. I said no and presented your records as dirty as they were,” Rita wrote.

She accused Nneoma of manipulating her way to become chairman of the AGN’s Imo chapter and distancing herself from Rita after failing to take advice.

Rita further slammed Nneoma’s recent social media attacks, branding her a “rogue” and asserting that she holds no influence in the entertainment space. She denied using Nneoma’s viral moment to grow her page, calling her follower count “inorganic” and insignificant.

Regarding the viral video of Nneoma’s outfit, Rita said she merely reshared what was already circulating widely online, saying, “People needed to feed their eyes, which was exactly what you wanted.”

Ending her post, Rita insisted she has nothing to hide. “I have clean records, and they are visible enough. The truth was just said — your outfit to Ruby’s wedding was irresponsible and indecent. I am saying it again and again.”

The ongoing public spat between the two actresses continues to draw attention, with each side refusing to back down.
