Rain Finally Breaks Sweltering Heat at Orientation Camp
Prospective Corps members at the Nation Youth Service Corps, NYSC 2024 Batch A stream II Orientaion course in Lagos Camp  breathed a collective sigh of relief yesterday as the first Sunday observance was welcomed by a long-awaited downpour, bringing respite from the sweltering and scorching heat that has plagued the orientation camp.
The rain, which followed  church services held by the National Association of Catholic Corpers and Nigeria Christian Corpers Fellowship, was welcomed with open arms by weary camp residents.
The oppressive heat had taken its toll, with many struggling to find relief and battling insomnia due to the uncomfortable conditions. The situation had become increasingly dire, prompting the State Coordinator to take action by purchasing fans for the camp, despite the steep price.
Participants of Course 24A2 had particularly felt the brunt of the weather, but yesterday’s rainfall brought a much-needed reprieve.
It seemed as though prayers had been answered, as religious worshippers gathered for services over the weekend, finding solace in the cooling rain.
A picture captured the Camp Director alongside key officials at the Nigeria Christian Corpers Fellowship today, reflecting the sense of unity and gratitude among camp residents as they welcomed the refreshing change in weather.
