Portable’s new signee breaks down in tears
Wiznurudeen, a new signee of controversial Nigerian artist Habeeb Okikilola, popularly known as Portable, has stirred emotions online after breaking down in tears in a heartfelt video, pleading with Fuji legend Saheed Osupa to forgive and release his embattled boss.
The emotional appeal comes in the wake of Portable’s recent arrest by operatives of the Kwara State Police Command.
The arrest followed a petition filed by Fuji musician Okunola Saheed, popularly known as Saheed Osupa, accusing the street-hop singer of a range of serious offences.
In a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, Portable is facing allegations of criminal defamation, threats to life, incitement, character assassination, conduct likely to cause a breach of public peace, and the use of abusive language.
“Given the gravity of the allegations and the supporting evidence provided, the command obtained a valid arrest warrant from a Magistrate Court in Ilorin,” the statement read.
“On Sunday, April 13, 2025, officers tracked and arrested the suspect in Abeokuta, Ogun State, at about 7:25 PM. He was immediately transported to Ilorin for questioning.”
According to police, Portable’s statement was taken in the presence of legal representatives from both parties, and investigations are currently ongoing.
In a passionate video that has since gone viral, one of Portable’s signees appeared in visible distress, pleading with Saheed Osupa to show mercy and withdraw the charges against his boss.
