Portable Celebrates Milestone with Skepta Collaboration and Payment from Sony Music

Nigerian singer Portable has thrilled his fans with the announcement that he received payment for his collaboration with British rapper Skepta on their hit track, Tony Montana.
The song, which was released in March 2024, became a major success, marking Portable’s first-ever entry on a UK chart at No. 93.
Produced by JAE5, Tony Montana also dominated Nigeria’s Spotify charts, quickly rising to the top.

The song’s catchy beat and memorable lyrics have captured listeners worldwide, further cementing Portable’s growing global influence.
Addressing speculations about his earnings from the collaboration, Portable took to Instagram to assure fans that Skepta had treated him fairly. “Skepta did right by me,” Portable said, praising the rapper.
Skepta also responded with a reassuring message, writing, “‘Greed’ no dey my dictionary #TonyMontana.”
In a video shared online, Portable revealed he had received payment from Sony Music, adding to the joy of his fans who have closely followed his journey.
