Osun Governor Approves New Monarchs, Praises Cabinet’s Performance

In a significant development, the Osun State Government, under the leadership of Governor Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke, has approved the appointments of Prince Adesuyi Haastrup as the new Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesha land and Prince Johnson Adekanmi Abikoye as the new Asaoni of Ora Igbomina.
This announcement was made through a press release signed by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi.
The appointments were said to be ratified during the Osun State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Adeleke.
According to the press release, Governor Adeleke congratulated the newly appointed monarchs, noting that their selection adhered to the due processes outlined in the Chiefs’ Law of Osun State, 2002 (Cap 25).
Additionally, during the meeting; the last of the year 2024, the Governor expressed his appreciation for the dedication and performance of the Osun State Executive Council members. He passed a vote of confidence on the cabinet and charged them to do more in the coming years.
