The OJICHIAGA FOUNDATION, a foundation founded by the Deputy Speaker, Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chinedu Ogba Onah paid a visit to Mrs Bridget Ekunyi of Okposhi Eshi Ngbo whose yam barn filled with yams was razed by inferno to sympathize and empathize with her.

Sympathizing with the victim who’s an aged widow, the Secretary of the Foundation, Mr. Ishiali Ndukauba who doubles as the Special Adviser to the Deputy Speaker, of Ebonyi State House of Assembly said that the foundation was saddened to learn about the inferno which destroyed her sources of living, hence the visit to identify with her which according to him, reflects on the vision and mission of the Foundation anchored on helping the needy and making a difference in the sands of time.

He described it as a devastating incident capable of throwing one into an obnoxious situation that could lead to death and encouraged her to anchor hope on God, adding that what seemed to be a loss has turned into a blessing to her.

While expressing gratitude to the foundation for the visit and the items given to her, Mrs. Ekunyi expressed dismay over the incident and observed that how the fire gutted her yam barn was shocking as the cause was not established but thanked those who rescued her from depression and excruciating pain with food items and cash. She extolled the foundation for their magnanimity, and show of love, and prayed to God to bless the foundation and the CEO, Rt Hon Chinedu Ogba Onah whose philanthropist gesture and effective performance speak volumes.

However, to cushion the effect of the incident, the Foundation gave her a bag of rice, three sets of quality wrappers, Packs of Eva Soup, 2 pairs of slippers, packs of big detergent, and an undisclosed amount of money.

The Foundation in another development paid a condolence visit to the family of Mr. Louis who was shot dead in his house at Onu Orie, Izhiangbo by yet-to-identified gunmen.
