NYSC Lagos Welcomes 2025 Batch A Stream II Prospective Corps Members to Orientation Camp

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Lagos State Secretariat has warmly welcomed the 2025 Batch “A” Stream II Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) to the orientation camp, as the nationwide exercise officially commenced today.

At the Lagos orientation camp located in Iyana Ipaja, hundreds of PCMs arrived early this morning and are currently undergoing the camp registration process.

The routine activities include documentation, luggage inspection, medical checks, and distribution of kits, all of which are being carried out under strict supervision to ensure orderliness and compliance with safety guidelines.

The State Coordinator for Lagos, Mrs. Christiana Salmwang, accompanied by the Camp Director, Mrs. Davidson Oluwayemisi, led a welcome tour across the camp facilities. The duo greeted incoming corps members with warm smiles and light refreshments while inspecting the registration points to ensure a smooth takeoff of the three-week orientation programme.

Mrs. Salmwang expressed her delight at the successful commencement of the camp activities and assured the new corps members of a well-organized orientation exercise. She also urged them to remain disciplined, focused, and cooperative throughout their stay in camp.

The orientation course, which marks the beginning of the one-year mandatory national service, is expected to run for 21 days and will include paramilitary drills, lectures on national unity, entrepreneurship training, and various camp-based social and cultural activities.

The Lagos NYSC management has reiterated its commitment to providing a safe, inclusive, and enriching environment for all corps members during the course of the programme.
