NYSC Lagos Camp Concludes SAED Programme with Corpreneurship Competition

The NYSC Lagos Orientation Camp has concluded its 9-day Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program, culminating in a Corpreneurship competition sponsored by Unity Bank.
Three corps members emerged winners, showcasing their entrepreneurial skills and innovative business ideas.
The event’s spotlight which was the Corpreneurship Competition, sponsored by Unity Bank, where shortlisted corps members pitched their business ideas before a panel of judges.
In the contest, emerging the brightest and walking away with the grand prize of ₦800,000 was Abraham Isaac Winner (LA/25A/4171). Close on his heels was Egbeyemi Simileoluwa (LA/25A/0878), awarded a sum of ₦500,000 for the brilliance and efforts invested into the contest, while Olukemi Kofoworola Eniola (LA/25A/0256) secured third place and was awarded a sum of ₦300,000.






















Beyond Corpreneurship, Platoons went head‑to‑head in the crafts competitions, showcasing skills acquired during the 9-day SAED in-camp/hands-on training; in shoemaking/bag making, beadwork, cake making, fashion design, and makeup artistry.
Winners included Platoon 1 (shoemaking), Platoon 8 (bag making & cake making ), Platoon 3 (makeup artistry), Platoon 10 (bead making), and Platoon 5 (fashion designing). Each champion received gifts and awards; underscoring SAED’s mission to turn talents into viable enterprises.
In her closing remarks, NYSC Lagos State Coordinator, Mrs. Christiana Salmwang applauded the corps members and camp officials for their dedication during the SAED programme. Elated by their skills and devotion shown, as well as their finished products, she urged the participants to leverage on the skills they have, stating that these skills are more than camp activities. She encouraged them to view them as stepping stones to their future. She also advised them to ensure every naira awarded them for their efforts is invested in their business vision, and let their enterprises serve communities nationwide.
As the curtains draw on the SAED training, corps members leave camp not only with certificates and prizes but with a renewed entrepreneurial spirit ready to turn skills into sustainable businesses across Nigeria.
