‘I Rigged Senatorial Poll Against Emmanuel Onwe’ - Rep Ogah

In a revelation that has detonated like a political bomb across Ebonyi State, Hon. Comrade Chinedu Ogah OON—House of Representatives member and self-proclaimed grassroots general—is now at the center of a stunning electoral scandal.

According to his former ally, UK-based Nigerian, Dr. Clifford Enyitta Iteshi, Ogah openly confessed during a visit to London that he rigged the 2023 senatorial election in favour of Senator Ken Eze, betraying the rightful winner, Senator Emmanuel Onwe.

The admission threatens not just Ogah’s re-election ambition but could also trigger investigations into the legitimacy of Eze’s victory and the rot within Ebonyi’s political elite.

Dr. Iteshi, who broke ranks with Ogah after years of political camaraderie, said the embattled lawmaker made the confession in a moment of candour—admitting that the 2023 senatorial election was manipulated as part of a secret pact with Ken Eze, a deal that quickly turned sour.

According to Iteshi, comrade Ogah’s motives weren’t ideological but transactional: Eze allegedly promised him a monthly compensation after the rigged victory, a promise that was abandoned immediately after Eze was sworn in.

Now abandoned by his allies and facing increasing political isolation within the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ogah is reportedly scrambling for a way out.

In a desperate bid to reinvent himself ahead of the 2027 elections, Ogah recently held a secret meeting with APGA stalwart Senator Emmanuel Onwe—the very man he confessed to rigging out—pleading for forgiveness and political support.

Also dragged into the drama is Professor Ben Odo, another victim of Ogah’s 2023 political maneuverings, whose blessing Ogah is now said to be begging for.

“This is not just politics—it’s a man trying to undo the treachery of his past,” said Dr. Iteshi. “He knows the ground is shifting beneath him.”

Despite APC’s rumoured assurances that all sitting National Assembly members will receive automatic tickets for 2027, Ogah’s erratic behaviour and secret moves suggest deep internal panic. His rumoured defection to APGA—still uncertain due to internal resistance—is a clear sign that his hold on APC is no longer secure.

The storm has begun—and Ogah may not survive it.
