Funke Akindele Announces Return of Aiyetoro Town With Season 2 Premiere

Nollywood star and filmmaker Funke Akindele has officially announced the highly anticipated return of her hit comedy series Aiyetoro Town.
Taking to Instagram, the actress revealed that Season 2 will premiere on YouTube via FAANtv on Sunday, June 22, 2025. She encouraged fans to gear up for another round of comedy, drama, and meaningful life lessons.
“Five years ago, we brought you Aiyetoro Town Season 1, and now we’re back with Season 2!!” she wrote. “Get ready for laughter, drama, and of course, life lessons. A big thank you to my amazing cast and crew — your dedication and talent made this story come alive! You all are the real MVPs!”
The announcement was met with an outpouring of excitement from fans, many of whom took to the comment section to express their joy and anticipation.
Aiyetoro Town, a spin-off of Akindele’s beloved Jenifa’s Diary, has earned a loyal following for its blend of humor, culture, and relatable storytelling.
