Full Text: Zimbabwe is a lower middle income endowed with a skilled and resilient population, abundantly natural resource, and considerable growth potential. This country faces challenges from climate change which results in a high cost of the economy.
Many blogs posted a picture showing Zimbabwean sex workers accepting beans, maize for payment. This picture captured ladies standing by the road side.

Asiwaju Media recognizes that many allegations of this nature can have serious reputational implications. Therefore, we are conducting a thorough investigation to verify the facts and establish the truth.
Verification:
Asiwaju Media submitted the picture on the Google Reverse Image Search, and Google shows the image has surfaced online since May, 2021.
While submitting the claim on MyAIFactChecker, it confirmed the claim is true. Some sex workers in Zimbabwe, particularly in the Dema Growth Point region, have started accepting items like beans and maize as payment due to economic hardships and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Moreso, a search of official social media handles shows that the NationNigeria had published the same claim on their X account.
Also, a keyword search led to several similar reports published by media platforms in Nigeria.
Conclusion: After conducting a thorough investigation by ASIWAJU MEDIA, our findings revealed that the picture showed that Zimbabwean sex workers accept beans maize for payment is true.
