CBN Commissions Solar Motorised Borehole in Okpuitumo Agaramugede Community

The wife of the Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Mrs. Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Ogbonna Nwifuru, has graced the Okpuitumo Agaramugede Community with her presence to commission a Solar Motorised Borehole,  funded by the CBN Staff, Ebonyi State Branch. 

The occasion, marked by a convergence of esteemed dignitaries and community members alike, showcased a spirit of unity and progress.

Accompanied by notable figures like the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, the Ikwo Local Government Area Chairman, and other government officials, Her Excellency was warmly welcomed by the community, including the Traditional Father, Eze Ezekiel Obo Oyika, and various stakeholder groups.

During the ceremony, symbolic gestures of appreciation were extended, including the presentation of livestock and local produce to Her Excellency, the CBN Staff, and the Priest from Holy Cross Catholic Parish, who played a pivotal role in initiating the borehole project. Prof. Amos Nworie also contributed to the spirit of giving by presenting a cow to Her Excellency.

In her address, Her Excellency expressed gratitude for the warm reception and pledged to advocate for infrastructure improvements, particularly in road conditions. She further declared the Health Centre at Eguefi as a BERWO Health Centre, emphasizing the importance of healthcare accessibility in the community.

Following the commissioning, Her Excellency and her delegation proceeded to another function at the Ikwo Local Government Area Headquarters, leaving behind a sense of fulfillment and gratitude among the community members and attendees.

The expressions of appreciation extended to all who contributed to the success of the occasion showed the spirit of unity and cooperation that prevails within the community.
