Baderinwa Visits Lagos Naval Base, Engages FOC On Improved Corps Welfare
The State Coordinator, NYSC Lagos, Mrs Yetunde Baderinwa, has called on the Flag Officer Commanding, Rear Admiral MB Hassan, for improvement on the welfare of Corps Members.
Mrs. Baderinwa made the call on a courtesy visit to the Naval Western Command, Apapa on Monday.
The State Coordinator reiterated that the Scheme had a long existing relationship with the Navy which is desired to be sustained.
She appreciated the Navy for always rising to the request of the Scheme, when called upon and for accepting Corps Members of the Scheme when deployed at the Base.
While praising the Flag Officer Commanding, Mrs Baderinwa stated the need to improve on the welfare of the Corps Members which cuts across monthly stipends, accommodation and transport allowance.
She added that as young persons, only if these are improved on, will they be motivated to work or even desire to be posted to the Base.
Responding, the Flag Officer Commanding, said the issues on Corps Members welfare will be looked into, and improvements are going to be made.
