โ€œI know road, I will lead you to promised landโ€ โ€” President Tinubu

The Yoruba Union, รŒgbรฌnmรณ Mรกjรฉkรณbรกjรฉ Ilรฉ-Yorรนbรก, has urged Nigerians to take a stand against what it terms the violation of fundamental rights by security forces operating under President Bola Ahmed Tinubuโ€™s government.

In a Democracy Day statement signed by Convener Olusola Badero and released Thursday through Assistant General Secretary Elder Akinola, the group expressed deep concern over the current administrationโ€™s governance.

They accused President Tinubu of steering the nation into deeper economic turmoil, widespread insecurity, and increased authoritarianism.

The union called for Tinubuโ€™s resignation, asserting that his administration lacks the vision and capacity to address the countryโ€™s growing crises.

They condemned a series of harsh policy decisions such as the scrapping of fuel subsidies, the weakening of the Naira, rising tuition costs, electricity tariff increases, and excessive banking charges.
