WABMA: Gbenga Aiyeremi Foundation Encourages Journalists  to Prioritize Contributions to Nigeria, Not Just Expectations

The Chairman of Gbenga Aiyeremi Foundation, GAF, Gbenga Aiyeremi have called on Journalists, Media professionals and youths to prioritize what they can do for Nigeria instead of what Nigeria can do for them.

Mr. Gbenga represented by Mr. Saheed Oseni made the call while speaking during Certificate presentation ceremony for  Journalists and Media Practitioners at the West Africa Broadcast and Media Academy, WABMA, Lagos Campus.

He advised journalists and youths to always eke out measures to make Nigeria a better country other than priotizing on expectations and complains on the inadequacy of the constituted authorities and to always look at for opportunities to advance in their choosen career so as to contribute to the country’s workforce and development.

The Certificate presentation marks the end of WABMA Media training for 20 Beneficiaries under the scholarship scheme of Gbenga Aiyeremi Foundation, GAF, In conjunction with Kleverest Scenta.

On his part, the Convener of Kleverest Scenta, Aro Leonard expressed joy noting that he is happy fulfilling life purpose of using his platform, Kleverest Scenta to training media professionals, journalists and most times facilitating employment of trained beneficiaries.

He also lauded the Gbenga Aiyeremi Foundation for their unconditional support towards empowering young Nigerians in different sectors and charged the beneficiaries of the scholarship scheme to know who enabled them and put in more efforts towards achieving more results from their journalistic and media work that will in turn help in the development of Nigeria as a country as a way of giving back to the society.

In appreciation, some of the beneficiaries  Adeola Adegoke, Enaharo Anabel, Mr. Emmanuel and Alefia James expressed joy for the ample opportunity given to them to learn, Relearn and Unlearn the nitty gritties in Journalism and media management.

They noted that the scholarship scheme gave them the platform to gain more insight, discover new ideas, opportunities and paved way for them to network with colleagues in the industry.

The beneficiaries also lauded the Gbenga Aiyeremi Foundation and Kleverest Scenta and promised to put in their best in ensuring professional and sane media practice guided by the ethics of the profession and devising strategies to contribute their quota to the society.

Highlights of the event included official presentation of certificate to beneficiaries, group pictures and refreshments.
