Toyin Abraham Celebrates Huge Box Office Success

Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham shared her excitement over the remarkable success of her latest movie, revealing an impressive 157.69% increase in earnings compared to her previous release.
In an Instagram post, Toyin disclosed that while her movie last year earned N52 million in its first week, her new film has surpassed expectations by generating N134 million in just seven days.
Expressing gratitude, she attributed the achievement to her faith and the unwavering support of her fans and collaborators.
“God of my journey, thank you. I am grateful that you helped me beat my last record! I am my own competition!” Toyin wrote. “Last year, I made 52 million after seven days; this year, I made 134 million. That is over a 157.69% increase. God, I am that woman who returns to say thank you.”
The actress also extended heartfelt appreciation to her fans for their loyalty, especially those who have supported her latest movie, Alakada: Bad and Boujee. “Despite everything, you stood your ground and made me a happy woman. Ẹṣé gan ó. Mo dúpé,” she said, thanking her audience in Yoruba.
Toyin also acknowledged cinemas that have supported the growth of the industry, praising those committed to showcasing all movies, regardless of distribution affiliations. She didn’t shy away from addressing challenges, calling out cinemas that appeared unsupportive. “To those cinemas that made it clear they don’t want us to succeed, God has proven Himself to be greater than man, thank you, Lord,” she noted.
