Tems Opens Up About Potential Collaboration with Davido

Award-winning Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has expressed openness to working with Davido, the executive of DMW (Davido Music Worldwide), on a musical project.
The revelation came during a recent live video session with her fans on social media. When asked by a fan if she would consider making a song with Davido, Tems responded positively but emphasized that the collaboration would depend on Davido’s willingness.
Her response:
“I’ll do a song with Davido if he wants.”
The comment has since sparked a wave of reactions across social media, with fans offering mixed interpretations.
@ssomtto wrote:
“She too respect him—only if he wants too. If he no wan do, no hit song for her.”
@fcspokesman argued:
“Na the biggest mistake weh she go do be that ajeh.”
@flakoYRN suggested:
“Translation: she can’t feature him in her tracks, but if he pays her for a feature, she would.”
@popsynightmare2 added:
“‘If he wants’—she knows this ain’t no song wey she go carry Davido for back like she did with Lizzy 😂”
@Mellanibwoy, however, offered a more nuanced take:
“Do you even understand what she meant by ‘if he wants to’? Even if she wants to feature Davido, if his management doesn’t accept, do you think she can force it? Davido has to say OK first before anything.”
