While speaking on Home Security, he advised the corps members to relate well with neighbours, court the friendship of local security persons for distress calls, ensure all external doors are secured with locks and keep all access windows locked. On transit security, he advised the avoidance of narrow and lonely streets, keeping to main routes. Avoidance of areas notorious for public disorder.

The expert also urged the corps members to avoid giving lift to strangers and if they are using commercial vehicles, they should make use of well lit bus stops. The security expert also hinted the corps members on the need to get fresh drinks when their drinks are out of sight in a social gathering, and to prevent sexual assault by making plans of outing, sticking to a friend or group of friends and many more.
