Sanwoolu Urges Corps Members to Uphold Oath of Allegiance as 4,490 Begin Service in Lagos
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu has charged Lagos Corps Members not to pay lip service to the Oath of Allegiance upon which they swore commitment to the nation. The governor welcomed 4,490 Corps members, consisting 1785 males and 2665 females deployed to Lagos State.
The Governor gave the charge during the Swearing-In Ceremony for the 2024 Batch “A” Stream II Orientation Course in Lagos NYSC Permanent Orientation camp on Tuesday.
Sanwoolu while congratulating the corps members for their achievement to be called to serve the nation, said the service offers a unique chance to contribute meaningfully to the development of the nation. He urged them to remember the legacies of their predecessors and be patriotic to the nation.
STATE COORDINATOR’S ADDRESS
State Coordinator NYSC Lagos, Mrs Yetunde Baderinwa urged the corps members to impact their host communities by leaving indelible legacies just as their predecessors.
She called on the corps members and everyone present to respond to the call of the nation by contributing to its development.
Meanwhile, 4,490 Corps members, consisting 1785 males and 2665 females were sworn-in by Honourable Justice Babatunde Oladapo, Kalaro.
As part of the programme, the 3 Corps Camp Directors were inaugurated and presented with letters of appointment. The Corps Camp Directors are; Aisosa Idiaghe, Afolabi Zoe and Olusoga, Oreoluwa Sapphire.
