Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has launched Lagos Market Trader Money, a 750 million naira intervention for market traders.

The Governor announced the intervention fund at the inauguration of a middle-level Fresh Food Hub in Idi Oro, Mushin as part of the five-year Transformation Agenda to ensure food security in the state.

Governor Sanwo-Olu announced that 15,000 traders, including those in police and military barracks, will receive ₦50,000 to boost their businesses.

He noted that the Fresh Food Hub would be replicated in Agege, Ajah and Abule Ado areas of the state.

Governor Sanwo-Olu also said that the Central Food Processing Hub in Ketu-Ereyun in Epe Council Area will be ready for inauguration next year.

Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture and Cooperatives, Ms. Abisola Olusanya said the hub would reduce post-harvest losses, and ensure the availability of fresh food at affordable prices.
