Reno Slams Obi Over Silence on Imo Killings

1 min read
Reno Omokri

Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has criticized presidential candidate Peter Obi for his silence on the recent killings of four police officers and a POS seller in Imo by unknown gunmen.

In a scathing social media post, Omokri wrote: “Forty-eight hours after four police officers and a POS seller were killed in Imo by unknown gunmen, Peter Obi has still not condemned their killing or even acknowledged that such an event occurred.”

Reno also referenced Obi’s past statements on IPOB, saying: “Don’t forget that on October 1, 2017, Peter Obi said, ‘They (IPOB) are not terrorists. I live in Onitsha, and I can tell you they are not terrorists.'”

Omokri further accused Obi of selective outrage, noting that he “immediately condemns even the smallest insecurity that occurs outside the Southeast.”

The post has sparked a heated debate on social media, with many calling on Obi to speak out against the killings.
