Fire outbreak at Owode market in Offa, Kwara State results in over N300m worth of property loss.

The Fire outbreak, which began at 2:30 am today, was caused by a random smoker who dropped a lit cigarette.

Firefighters from the State and Federal Fire Service intervened to address the situation.

The head of media and publicity for the Kwara State Fire Service, Hassan Hakeem, released a press statement in Ilorin stating that the Offa service station received a distress call at 2:30 AM and the fire service quickly responded to the situation.

The Director of Kwara State Fire Service, Prince Olumuyiwa Falade, has offered his sympathies to the traders at Owode Market, Offa after the unfortunate incident. He urged everyone to remain vigilant and follow safety practices at all times.
