Prioritize Peace, Ebonyi Govt Tells Town Unions

The Special Assistant to the Ebonyi State Governor on Community Engagement, Hon. Paulinus Madauabuchi Nwanchor, has called on Town Union Presidents in the state to prioritize peace, security, and development in their respective communities.
Speaking during a meeting with the State and zonal executive of the Forum of Town Union Presidents, Nwanchor emphasized the importance of peace, security, unity, and support for the state government in attracting community development.
He promised to work closely with town union presidents to mobilize and engage communities on the need for peaceful coexistence, security, and sensitization on government policies.
The meeting, held at the Traditional Rulers’ Council hall in Abakaliki, was attended by state executives, zonal leaders, and local government chairmen of the forum.
Town Union Presidents, in their response, thanked Nwanchor for the meeting and promised to intensify efforts in ensuring security, peace, unity, and protection of government projects in their localities.
They also appealed for government attention to their challenges, including lack of office space, logistics, and non-involvement in community projects.
The meeting marks a significant step towards promoting peace, security, and development in Ebonyi State communities
