Peter Okoye Slams Brother Jude, Says Solo Career More Profitable Than P-Square

Nigerian singer Peter Okoye has fired back at his elder brother, Jude Okoye, accusing him of wishing him financial ruin and misrepresenting facts to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

In a series of posts shared on Facebook on Monday, the former P-Square member addressed recent comments made by Jude, who accused him of greed and abandoning those who once supported him.

Jude had written:
“They all have one thing in common: They were big, influential and successful when I was shouldering them with my platform until they got greedy and wanted to eat alone and so left… Instead of accepting responsibility for their choices, they are pointing fingers at the same person they left for their ‘freedom.’”

Reacting, Peter alleged that Jude’s statement mirrored what he told EFCC officials—an incident he claimed led to Jude’s time in prison.

“Calling me broke or wishing I was broke has been your wish. These are the exact same words you told the EFCC officials. And you ended up getting locked up in prison. You were shouldering who? Agbaya, you were employed as a manager and got sacked just like the two before you. Period!” he fired back.

Peter went on to highlight how much more successful and peaceful his life has become since going solo.

“Truth be told, aside from my businesses, what I now earn on my own as a solo artiste today is more than what I used to earn after splitting three ways as P-Square plus the so-called manager,” he said. “This solo journey has been a blessing—more rewarding and profitable, both financially and personally. And it has also brought peace of mind.”

He added that he was done playing the “matured one” while being disrespected.

“I have stopped playing nice… I treat people exactly how they treat me. Respect me, I respect you. Cross me, I cut you off. Simple.”
