PDP and APC Unveil Timetable for National and State Assembly Bye-Elections
Following Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC February 3, 2024 date for the conduct of by-elections, the People’s Democratic Party , PDP and All Progressives Congress, APC have released timetables for bye elections.
The APC released a timetable on Monday, which was signed by the party’s National Organizing Secretary, Sulaimon Argungu. The timetable indicates that the sale of nominations, expression of interest and delegates forms for contestants vying for Senatorial, House of Representatives, and State Assemblies seats will begin on December 27, 2023, and end on January 2, 2024. Primary elections are scheduled to take place on January 6, 2024.

The party said female aspirants and persons living with disabilities are to pay for Expression of Interest while the Nomination Form is free.
“Youths from 25 to 40 years are to purchase Expression of Interest forms with a 50% discount on Nomination Forms,” the APC stated.
The PDP has released a timetable for its upcoming elections. According to the timetable signed by the party’s National Organizing Secretary, Umar Bature, the sale of nominations, expression of interest, and delegates forms will begin on December 28, 2023, and end on January 3, 2024. The primary elections are scheduled to be held on January 9, 2024.
