Patrick Doyle Blasts Wike Over Lavish Chair, Accuses Him of Delusion of Grandeur

Veteran actor Patrick Doyle has taken a swipe at FCT Minister Nyesom Wike over what he described as an unnecessary display of extravagance during a recent media briefing.
Doyle voiced his displeasure over Wike’s choice of a lavish, throne-like chair for the event, calling it a symbol of misplaced priorities and excessive self-importance.
Describing the chair as a “throne,” Doyle accused the minister of exhibiting a “delusion of grandeur,” criticizing what he sees as a broader trend of Nigerian political leaders indulging in showy displays of wealth and power.
His comments have sparked conversations online, with many echoing concerns about the disconnect between public officials and the economic realities faced by ordinary Nigerians.
