Obi Outlines First 100 Days Agenda, Sets Conditions for 2027 Presidential Run

Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has unveiled his plans for his first 100 days in office should he be elected president in 2027.

Speaking during an interactive session with supporters on an X Space on Sunday night, the ex-Anambra State governor promised to prioritize security, education, health, poverty alleviation, and the fight against corruption.

“We will do things differently in 2027,” Obi declared. “We will adopt a non-violent approach and ensure that due process is followed before any results are announced in Abuja. Our votes will count, and we will protect them.”

He outlined three core focus areas for his first 100 days: strengthening security, improving education, and eradicating poverty. Obi also pledged to cut government waste and keep his family away from any form of corruption.

“My administration will channel funds into critical sectors,” he said. “I will not allow my family to interfere or be involved in corrupt practices.”

Obi criticized the current state of governance, lamenting that while citizens are being killed in Benue, Borno, and other parts of the country, leaders are busy commissioning bus stops and going on vacations.

He further promised to ensure a stable political system, including preventing elected officials from defecting to other parties.

On his possible return to the presidential race, Obi stated he would consider running under an opposition coalition only if offered a single-term presidency.

He also clarified that he has no existing agreement with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar regarding a joint ticket.
